Core Reactor / Idle strategy game
An idle strategy game that runs on your actual phone
Most idle games tick a fake clock. Core Reactor reads what your phone really does - charging, screen on, screen off - and turns that into a base you manage in short, calm sessions.

Compared
How it differs from a typical idle game.
| Typical idle game | Core Reactor | |
|---|---|---|
| Progress from | An internal timer | Your phone’s charging, use and connection |
| Active play | Tapping, upgrade spam | 3–5 minute placement puzzles |
| Being away | Progress stops or nags you | A Return Report with a decision to make |
| Failure | Resets and game over | No Game Over. Worst case is a slow rate. |
| Session length | As long as you will tolerate | 30 seconds for a report, 3 minutes for a puzzle |
| Account | Often required | Never |
Fit
Who it is for, and who it is not.
It suits you if
You like systems and optimising a layout, you want a game that fits in 30 seconds or three minutes, and you are happy for your day to be the engine rather than a tapping session.
It does not suit you if
You want to play for hours at a time, chase huge numbers every minute, or need real-time multiplayer. This is a calm game by design.
FAQ
Quick answers.
Is Core Reactor a clicker?
No. There is nothing to tap repeatedly. Progress comes from what your phone does, and the active part is a short placement puzzle.
Do I have to keep the app open?
No. The base is simulated from battery samples while you are away and you collect the result in a Return Report, up to 8 hours by default.
Is it free?
Yes, and you can complete it without paying.
